The trend known as the "Cleopatra Transformation" has quickly gained immense popularity online, with celebrities like Ivana Alawi, Bea Borres, and currently Wilbert Tolentino sharing their entries.

In addition to donning the iconic gold outfit to become Cleopatra, the trend enables social media users to display makeup makeovers, with netizens able to weigh in on whether they resemble the Egyptian queen.

Recently, Tolentino’s version of Cleopatra went viral and as of this moment has garnered 33.6 million views on TikTok. However, going viral does not always mean a good response; in his situation, he faced a mixed of reactions from users on social media.

The online personality and talent manager quickly turned into a viral meme, with internet users commenting that rather than resembling Cleopatra, he has more of a likeness to the OPM icon Imelda Papin. He embraced this comparison and didn't take it too seriously.

In his entry, Tolentino fully committed — incorporating three hairpieces created by a national artist, complemented by golden accessories, a Swarovski necklace, a Burmese python in a frosty pattern, and seated on a tailored royal throne.

In response to being asked about the feedback he received, stating he’s “giving Imelda Papin,” he said, “Sa mga natatawa at nagsasabing hawig ko raw si Ma'm Imelda Papin, thank you po.

Tolentino mentioned that he isn't bothered by the remarks, explaining that his post is meant to be humorous.

But honestly, no hard feelings na kamukha ko si Madam Imelda kasi maganda siya," he pointed out.

In addition to resembling Papin, internet users humorously pointed out on social platforms that he resembles Joey de Leon in a film and Donita Nose. He reiterated that he isn't upset by this.

For me, napakahusay ng execution natin,” he added.
