Actress Yasmien Kurdi took to social media to express her love and appreciation for her husband, pilot Rey Soldevilla, who recently celebrated his birthday.

On Instagram, Yasmien posted a touching birthday message to her “Pangga,” marking nearly two decades of their relationship.

“Happy Birthday, Pangga @rey_soldevilla 😘 Cheers to 19 years of us! ❤️,” Yasmien said. “Thirteen years of marriage, and we’ve been through it all, ups, downs, laughs, tears 🥹 and yet, here we are… still standing strong, still together, a family of four. Sheesh! 😂”

The Kapuso actress also recalled the moment she first met Rey, sharing what initially drew her to him.

“When I first met you, I was instantly drawn to your looks. (Naks! Uy, napasmile yan!) I remember meeting you on numerous @flypal flights, where I used to be your passenger,” Yasmien wrote, referring to Rey’s work as a pilot.

She went on: “You’re 6 feet tall, moreno, with a smiling face and undeniably handsome. I thought, 'Wow, he looks like a leading man from a movie.' 🎬 That’s why Philippine Airlines will always hold a special place in the hearts of my husband and me, because it’s where we met.”

As years passed by, Yasmien expressed how her husband is more than his attractive looks to her and their family.

“But as I got to know you more, I realized there’s so much more to you than just your good looks. You’re really smart, kind, and a man of your word. I love that you always have the final say in our family decisions,” she expressed.

Admitting that she can be stubborn at times, Yasmien reflected on how their relationship has grown through the years.

“I admit, I’m stubborn sometimes… well, all the time 🤣 because I love sharing my opinions. But I’ve learned that no argument wins with you because you always listen, explain, and stay calm… calm ba talaga?! 😂,” she said.

She added with humor: “Kaya minsan, umiinit ang usapan natin sa mga simpleng bagay lang… actually, mga walang kwentang bagay 🙃. But now I think we’ve matured a little… 😂 Let’s ask Ayesha if that’s true? Buti nalang sanay na si AZ sa atin! 😅.”

Celebrating Rey’s special day, Yasmien ended her post with a message of gratitude and love for her husband.

“Today, I just want to say how grateful I am to walk this life with you. I may not be a perfect wife; I’m always busy taking care of our Baby Raya, assisting Ayesha with her activities, and preparing for her new school year. Bawi nalang ako sa susunod sa'yo! Haha! 🤣☺️,” she stated.

She continued, “Here’s to more beautiful moments, more love, more kulitan, and many more years together. We love you so much, Pangga! ❤️ Happy Birthday! #05152025.”

Rey replied to the post, writing, “Thank u pangga 😍 luv u so much 😘.”

Yasmien and Rey married in 2012 and have two daughters, Ayesha Zara and Raya Layla.

On her personal social media account, Ayesha also greeted her dad with a sweet message:

“Happy birthday papa! Thank you very much for being with me every step of my homeschooling journey. Thank you for being my teacher at the same time. I will always love you with all my heart❤️ Love, Ayesha 😝,” she wrote.

Rey commented, “Super best friends forever to infinity and beyond! 😍 😊 Thank u luv u! 😘.”

In another post, the family joined in on a birthday trend video, with Yasmien proudly sharing that she managed to convince Rey to participate.
