MANILA — “Ang Mutya ng Section E” star Ashtine Olviga shared that she deactivated her social media accounts after being a hot topic online.

Olviga trended online after fans noticed she wore the same outfit throughout her media day, sparking criticism toward her team.

“Nagulat ako sumabog online. Di ko inexpect. Yung mga tao tumutulong sa akin, nakakahiya sa kanila,” she explained in an interview during the launch of her Viva Beauty fragrance  “Ash.”

“Imbis na maubos energy umuwi, pinili namin magrest in between. Biglaan interviews, the night before lang namin nalaman. Ano ba issue yan. Nahirapan ako maghanap ng damit kahapon, last few days. Biglaan kasi event,” she added.

Olviga admitted feeling “overwhelmed” by the attention and asked understanding from the public, including who she acknowledged are looking out for her.

According to her, she is still adjusting to the limelight.

“Before ng P-Pop days ko, may guestings pero di ganoon kaingay. Iniisip ko lang work after. Nabibigla ako sa mga nangyayari. Na-overwhelm ako,” she reasoned.

Olviga, loved by fans for being down to earth and modest despite her rise to fame,  emphasized she does not want to be changed by her fame and stay true to herself.

“Ayoko mabago ako ng showbiz. kung ano ako talaga,” she said.

The actress said she will remain offline as she wants to prioritize her peace.

“Feeling ko di ako strong sa social nedia,” she confessed. “Parang feeling ko, minsan ikaw na gagawa help sa sarili mo if masiyado ka na na-bobother or masyado na pumapasok sa heart nakikita mo,” she added.

Olviga, who will be celebrating her birthday next week, shared she considers the launch of her fragrance “Ash” is an early present.

“Before plano ko mag-focus sa acting.  since binigyan ako opportunity and with their guidance naman nagagawa ko. It has vanilla scent, favorite ko. And kasi pwede pang babae or lalake, unisex,” she said.
