The ABS-CBN Ball 2025 had lived its purpose of bringing stars together. In one magical moment, the cast of the 2010 television drama series Mara Clara reunited after 15 years.

Actress Dimples Romana, who played the role of Alvira del Valle, shared snaps from what she described as a “mini reunion” with some of the artists who also played major roles in the highly acclaimed drama series.  

“A mini Mara Clara reunion with my OGs. [Fifteen] years have passed and our family and friendship remain. Love us! #ABSCBNBall2025. [Fifteen] years ago, we did the remake of this special show called - Mara Clara,” Dimples wrote in the post’s caption. 

Main stars Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes, who played Mara and Clara, were seen in the photos. Mylene Dizon and Jhong Hilario, along with Dimples and two others, also joined the groufie.

In her post’s caption, Dimples raised a question for their fans: “For fun, if you were to have this same cast, what show would you have us do together and what title will you give it?” 

The actress’ Mara Clara reunion post has gained more than 46,000 likes on Instagram as of this writing.  

Bringing out nostalgia feels, netizens shared their sentiments on the post’s comment section. 

“Mara Clara was such a classic! The remake was even more so! So much love for everyone here,” one netizen wrote.  

Another netizen commented: “Ahhhhhh! We're actually rewatching MaraClara at home and we're in episode 34! Then I saw this. #Nostalgia #IwantTv.”

Mara Clara revolves around the story of two girls whose fate was manipulated as they were switched at birth. They grew up competing with each other until the truth about their identities was unveiled. 

The 2010 edition of the drama series was a remake of its original version, which was aired on Philippine television in 1992, featuring Judy Ann Santos and Gladys Reyes.

Mara Clara had captured the hearts of the Filipino audience. It served as a cornerstone of the careers of then teen artists Kathryn and Julia, whose careers would eventually blossom in the showbiz industry.
