Even before being known as the "Gentle-linong Heartthrob ng Tarlac" of Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition, Brent Manalo had already amassed a massive following. He has become a consistent favorite on social media, often sharing glimpses of his life with his followers.

But before stepping into the iconic blue and yellow house, Brent got real with PUSH ABS-CBN about what scares him the most about being part of the show in an exclusive interview.

“Yung hindi ako magustuhan sa labas,” the Kapamilya heartthrob revealed about what worried him most.

Brent also shared how he plans to handle the challenges of today's cancel culture.

“I don’t think maiiwasan siya but iwasan na lang siguro magbasa. Iwasan na lang ‘yung mga negative comments sa mga tao,” he explained.

The reality star added that he intends to remain the same as he is outside the house when interacting with the various personalities inside.

“Just like how I am sa outside world, ganun din naman.  Ang dami ko rin nang experience na different personalities. Siguro ‘yung difference lang ngayon is na nasa iisang bahay kami lahat. Hindi ko alam kung paano ‘yun mangyayari eh. Good luck na lang sa amin lahat,” Brent said.

Brent also admitted how he feels the reality show could potentially affect his career: “Para sa’kin, make it or break it ‘to eh. So, siyempre hoping for the best.”

Becoming a celebrity housemate is something Brent never imagined, according to him.

“Honestly, before hindi ko po siya ever na-consider na mangyayari sa akin. Sobrang mahiyain po ako. So, I don't think it could ever happen. But, now na nandito na siya, syempre once in a lifetime opportunity,” Brent admitted.

Even so, Brent is a dedicated Pinoy Big Brother viewer, and is particularly a fan of Double Up Edition Big Winner Melai Cantiveros.

“Sina Mr. Jason (Francisco) and Ms. Melai (Cantiveros), ‘yung ligawan nila. Napapanood ko ‘yun. Nasubaybayan ko ‘yun,” he shared.

But if there’s one person Brent would love to be housemate with, it’s none other than his celebrity crush.

“Siguro si Ms. Anne Curtis. Siya ‘yung forever, I think, magiging ‘yung celebrity crush ko until now. Siguro kahit 60 na siya,” Brent revealed.
