"There is magic inside Kuya’s house."

These were the words of beauty queen and actress Michelle Dee as she described her experience staying inside the Pinoy Big Brother house as a house guest.

In an interview with MJ Felipe of ABS-CBN News during the ABS-CBN Ball, Michelle admitted it was difficult to say goodbye.

"Nung sinabi sa akin ni Kuya na takdang panahon na para lumabas na, naiyak po ako. I really didn’t want to leave yet. I loved the whole experience, and siyempre, minahal ko rin 'yung mga housemates. I really found a connection with them," she shared.

Michelle also reflected on one of the most emotional highlights of her stay, which was a special task that encouraged housemates to open up about their personal stories. During this heartfelt moment, Esnyr revealed his struggles with family, while Klarisse bravely came out as bisexual.

"That’s why I do what I do. My life should also serve as a source of inspiration. You walk the talk," she said on helping pave the way for Esnyr and Klarisse to courageously share their stories.

"For that to materialize into Esnyr sharing something about his life, and of course ate Klang, nakakataba po ng puso to be able to inspire something as big as that. Kaya salamat Kuya for allowing me to do that," Michelle said.

During the said task, Michelle also shared her personal story, getting candid about the challenges she faced.

"I think one of the worst impressions about me, especially in my career, is I had it easy," she told the housemates during the task.

Often seen as someone who had a smooth path because of her prominent parents, Michelle revealed that her journey has been far from effortless. She emphasized the hard work and personal struggles that many don’t see.

"People don't know how hard I work behind the scenes. People don't know what I went through growing up. People think I'm a nepo baby because I have two prominent parents, but I have been independent since I was a teenager," she stated.

The Miss Universe Philippines 2023 also opened up about a painful chapter in her personal life. "My parents had the worst breakup, very public, which is why I moved to the States. My mom wanted to shield us from all of that," she shared.

Despite competing twice internationally, Michelle admitted that her journey remains difficult.

"Since coming here, it's always been an uphill battle even after competing twice internationally, parang hindi pa tapos. It's like you're always fighting for something, parang hindi siya enough. And they always highlight the negatives, and you have to be so strong mentally," she said.  

Michelle confessed that she often feels overwhelmed but continues to take things one day at a time.

"I am just taking it day by day. People don't know I am drowning. [I am] very proud of where I am but I know that there is so much more that I could do."
