Beauty queen Samantha Bernardo shared how she could relate to the story of Esnyr as a breadwinner. The former Pinoy Big Brother housemate took to her X (formerly Twitter) account to praise and to give credit to the YouTube vlogger and content creator.

Esnyr is currently part of the ongoing edition Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab where he opened up about his situation with his family, especially his father.

“Sobrang busy ko that time na nagme-message sila papa sa akin kasi monthly sila nagme-message sa akin na, saan na 'yung pera, ganyan. Tapos di ako nakapag-reply. Dun ko unang natanggap 'yung unang message ng papa ko sa akin na: 'Grabe ka magpasarap diyan sa buhay mo diyan, kaya mong makita 'yung parents mo na naghihirap? Pero sige lang, gusto kong malaman mo na mabubuhay kami kahit wala ka,’” he previously shared.

Samantha then shared on her social media account how she once felt the same way. She recalled having only ₱20 in her wallet and could only afford two sticks of banana cue––one of which she gave to someone who was asking for alms.

“Naalala ko mga '20 pesos na lang pera ko' moment ko at gutom na gutom na ako at bukas pa sahod. Naglalakad ako sa FB Harrison from MOA and binili ko nalang ng 2 sticks ng banana cue,” she recalled.

“Habang pauwi sa condo, naglalakad ako at may nanglilimos.. Wala na akong barya na mabigay kaya binigay ko na lang isang stick ng banana cue.. Walang laman ang tiyan pero masaya naman ang puso,” she added.

She then expressed the realities of the breadwinners and gave Esnyr the praise he deserves.

“Mabuhay ang mga breadwinner.. Kahit mahirap, kinakaya natin.. 💪🏽 Kakaiyak naman kwento ni Esnyr,” she said. 

Meanwhile, fans of Samantha shared in the comment section how they were in awe as she opened up about her past. Other netizens applauded her for continuing to fight and added how she deserves everything she has now.
