Kapamilya singer-actress Zsa Zsa Padilla paid tribute to the veteran singer Hajji Alejandro who passed away earlier this month. The Divine Diva took to her Instagram to express her gratitude for the talent of the late singer.

Haji was 70 years old at the time of his passing.

Zsa Zsa shared how heavy her heart was after finding out about the passing of Hajji. In her post, she uploaded a group photo with Hajji and his daughter Rachel alongside other veteran singers at the ASAP stage.

“My heart is heavy upon hearing the news of yet another music icon’s passing. Hajji Alejandro was more than just a voice of a generation—he was a storyteller, a trailblazer, and a timeless presence in OPM,” she wrote.

“His music shaped memories, touched lives, and brought comfort and joy to countless hearts,” she added.

The Divine Diva added that the legacy of the late veteran singer will continue even if his time has already passed.

“Thank you, Hajji, for the legacy you’ve left behind. Your songs will continue to echo through time, reminding us of the beauty of heartfelt melodies and the power of sincerity in song. Rest in peace, and thank you for the music,” she ended.

Zsa Zsa was among the few music talents that penned a tribute to Hajji. Other stars have expressed their sadness over the passing of the late singer whom they’ve worked with in the industry.

A tribute for Hajji was aired during the April 27 episode of ASAP. An old clip of the late singer where he had a duet with his daughter Rachel was shown.

Dubbed as the original “Kilabot ng mga Kolehiyala,” Hajji began his career in the entertainment industry more than half a century ago. He is known for his hit songs such as “Kay Ganda ng Ating Musika”, “Nakakapagtaka”, “Isang Awit”, “May Minamahal”, and “Ikaw at ang Gabi”, among others.
