Actress and entrepreneur Kiray Celis is still on cloud nine following her engagement to longtime partner-turned-fiancé Stephan Estopia.

In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN during the launch of her new Day-Li brand, Kiray shared her overwhelming happiness about this new chapter in her life.

“Ganito pala parang akong nasa ulap, parang bigla akong sumakses. Bigla ako parang nasa heaven, sobrang saya. And, ang saya lang kasi yung gusto kong taong makasama, gusto rin ako makasama. Kaya, sobrang happy ako,” Kiray expressed.

She expressed how fulfilled she feels this year, with numerous blessings pouring in, both in her personal life and in her business ventures.

“I'm very thankful kasi gitna pa lang ng taon almost gitna pa lang ng taon pero parang dulo na para sa'kin kasi kumpleto na yung buong taon ko. Ang daming bagong products, aside from that, nag-e-expand ako ng business ko, siya (Stephan) rin ng business niya nag-eexpand siya ng business niya, and ito ikakasal kami.”

Though still adjusting to the idea of being a bride-to-be, Kiray admitted feeling slightly overwhelmed with all the preparations that come with planning a wedding. 

“‘Pag iniisip ko ang dami ko pang ilalabas na products, and ang dami pa pala, (like) mayroon pang bridal shower, may prenup pa, para akong naloloka, parang ay ang dami  pa palang kailangan,” she said.

She went on: “Nagulat pa ako kasi, sa kasal pala, minimum of one year ang preparation, hindi ako na-inform na ang dami palang kailangang ayusin, so, i-update ko kayo, alam niyo naman kung gaano ko kayo kamahal, lagi updated and sana sa wedding ko pumunta po kayo.”

While they haven’t finalized the wedding date, Kiray revealed Stephan is hoping to tie the knot this year.

“Gusto niya this year,siya yung may gusto nun this year,” she shared. “Yung mga details sa akin niyo yun malalaman pero wala pa. Para pa rin ako nasa ulap. Five days ago pa lang yun. Parang kinakalma ko pa yung sarili ko, ang saya-saya lang.”

Since she started her career as a child actress and built lasting friendships in the entertainment industry, will Kiray’s wedding be star-studded?

“May nagtanong kasi sa akin kung gusto ko star-studded. Sabi ko naman, marami akong kaibigan,” she admitted. “Pero, unti lang yung talagang close na close na close na close na close ko, and talagang mahal na mahal ko. And yung totoong, masasabi ko, on and off cam, kaibigan ko.”

She shared that her best friend, content creator Christian Antolin, will be part of the entourage. As for her principal sponsors, she revealed some big names: including Marian Rivera, Ai-Ai Delas Alas, and Gary Valenciano.

“I asked Ate Marian Rivera to be my ninang, and nag-yes na siya. Yay! Pwede ko ba yung sabihin? Parang yabang ko naman,” Kiray happily said. “Miss Ai-Ai Delas Alas is one of my ninang also, and si Sir Gary V.”

Actress Arci Muñoz will be a bridesmaid, and Kiray also hopes Kapamilya actor Enchong Dee will be one of the groomsmen. Enchong recently posted a throwback photo from their movie I Love You To Death and congratulated her on the engagement.

“Si Enchong, nag-chat siya sa akin kagabi,” Kiray shared. “Nagulat kasi ako sa post niya, nagrerelapse siya. After niya magrelapse kay Erich (Gonzales), nagrelapse siya sa'kin. So, at least kasing level natin si Erich sa mga ganoong paraan.” 

“Nagulat lang ako kasi sabi niya sa akin, he's the happiest for me, kaya, ayan daming nakamiss nung movie namin, I Love You To Death. So, yung mga comment dun, ‘Hala, bumalik siya. Bumangon siya sa hukay para lang batiin ka.’ So, I'm very happy,” Kiray explained.

She continued, “Nag-chat ako sa kanya, sabi ko, ‘Hindi ka pwede mawala sa kasal ko’, and kung hindi mamarapatin, siyempre, isa siya sa mga groomsmen.”

She added that Enchong replied to her wedding invite with heartwarming words.

“Sabi niya, ‘I'll be there,’ and, ‘I love you and you know that.’ So, I'm very, very happy. Kasi yung mga ka-close ko talaga is, ano na, nag-ready na rin for me.”

Kiray expressed her gratitude for her celebrity friends who didn’t hesitate to say yes when invited.

“Nakakatuwa lang na, hindi sila nag-iisip pa. It's a yes (agad). Ang saya, ang saya. Ang sarap na, talagang, yun lang yung paulit-ulit ko sasabihin,” Kiray stated “Yung mga mahal ko, mahal din talaga ako. Kaya, sobra kong swerte na tao, kaya, ayun, I'm so excited. Super excited na ako.”
