MANILA -- Actress Lotlot de Leon turned to social media on Friday to share her heartfelt message to her mother, National Artist Nora Aunor, who passed away last week.

On Instagram, de Leon said she knows that her mom wants her to look after her siblings and their children.

"Ma, alam mo po I find myself talking to you everyday... at alam ko nakikinig ka. Nasabi ko na din naman sa 'yo lahat mommy... at alam ko din na ang bilin mo sa akin ay ang mga kapatid ko at mga apo mo. 'Yung tinuro mo sa akin na maging matatag sinusubukan ko po talagang gawin," she wrote. 

De Leon then told her mom that many people loves her and that they are grateful to all those who showed their love for the showbiz icon.

"Ma, maraming nagmamahal sa 'yo. Sobra! Sana nakikita n'yo po 'yun. They all showed up for you and our family and kami na mga anak mo sobrang grateful po," she wrote.

De Leon then asked her mom to always look after them and also vowed to the take care of Aunor's legacy.

"Si Ian, Matet, Kiko, Ken at ako. Basta look after us always ma.. alam ko hindi mo kami pababayaan sa bawat desision na gagawin naming magkakapatid. At lalo pa kami nagkakaisa dahil sam 'yo. And we promise to take care of your legacy, Ma, kami ng mga kapatid ko," she concluded.

Born Nora Cabaltera Villamayor, Aunor known for her "golden voice" and incomparable acting prowess, died on April 16.  

Proclaimed a National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts in 2022, Aunor was given state funeral rites at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig City on Tuesday. 

Lotlot is one of Aunor's five children with actor Christopher de Leon.
