Jiggly Caliente, one of the regular judges of Drag Race Philippines, will be sitting out the upcoming season of the show to recover from her severe infection which caused her to lose her right leg. The drag queen released an official statement on her Instagram account to the surprise of thousands of her followers.

She is set to miss out on public engagements as she has yet to fully recover from her health issues.

“The family of Bianca Castro, known to many as the beloved drag performer Jiggly Caliente, is heartbroken to share that over the last month Bianca has experienced a serious health setback,” the statement read.

 Because of the undisclosed health problem she faced, Jiggly had to lose “most of her right leg” and will be needing an “extensive” period of recovery.

“Due to a severe infection, she was hospitalized and, as a result, has undergone the loss of most of her right leg,” the statement added.

“Because of these circumstances, Bianca will not be appearing in the upcoming season of RuPaul’s Drag Race Philippines, nor will she be participating in any public engagements for the foreseeable future. Her recovery will be extensive,” the statement continued.

Jiggly’s family then asked for privacy during these challenging times for them as they go through the recovery stage together. They expressed their gratitude to the fans who showed their support and said prayers for the drag queen.

“At this time, we kindly ask for privacy for Bianca and her family as they navigate this difficult journey together. While Jiggly concentrates on healing, we invite her friends, fans, and community to uplift her with messages of hope and love on her social media channels. Bianca's family and drag house are deeply grateful for the continued outpouring of support, strength, and prayers,” the statement ended.

Fellow drag queens wrote their well wishes and prayers in the comment section to show their support for Jiggly. 

“Jiggly I love you so much. You always keep it so real. A true diva. Heal up sis,” Bob The Drag Queen wrote.

“Love you ate! You will always have a home in 🇵🇭. Sending prayers of light and healing your way,” Eva Le Queen added.

“I love you and I'm praying for you sister,” Pangina Heals continued.

Jiggly’s first appearance was back in Season 4 of RuPaul’s Drag Race where she placed fourth. She then went on to compete at the sixth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars but was the second one to be eliminated.
