“My family is here, my dad, my friends, of course, ASAP (laughs). I miss being here. Hindi ko na-miss yung traffic though. Hindi ko talaga yun na-miss (laughs). Pati yung init. At least sa Hawaii may hangin, dito wala eh (laughs). Parang kang nasa microwave, parang kang nasa oven. But to me, yun yung essence ng Philippines eh. Na-mi-miss mo pa rin yung EDSA in a way. Pag andito ako hindi ko na-mi-miss pero pag nasa ibang bansa ako nakaks-miss din pala yung usok, yung, ingay!” he told PUSH ABS-CBN in an exclusive interview during the Fatherland celebrity premiere held last April 22 in Quezon City.

“Favorite ko yung binatog. Nakaka-miss yung mga simple things like that. Bata pa ako favorite ko na. My handler, alam niyang favorite ko yun kaya pag andito ako lagi niya akong pinapadalhan ng binatog. At saka yung mangga na maasim. Basta mangga tapos asin na may sili. Sobrang favorite ko yun and kwek-kwek (laughs). Kanina kumain ako ng kwek-kwek!” he shared excitedly.

Just like his dad, Inigo said he likes spending time in nature when he is not busy working. “I also miss being able to go to my farm in Rizal and I miss being able to see my friends here. I left a lot of friends when I decided to stay more in the States and a lot of them are actually going to be here tonight. It’s going to be my first time seeing them again since I got back,” he added.

Despite his growing career, the Cornerstone artist said he continues to stay grounded and not let fame get into his head. “I don’t even see myself like that. I’m just an actor. I’ve only done two projects abroad in the States so I wouldn’t say that. I don’t know. I don’t know how to answer that. I don’t think I even experienced that. I don’t think I have ever caught myself thinking that I’m of a certain status or a certain level just because of what I’ve done in the states. I don’t think it,” he told PUSH ABS-CBN.
