Bianca also shared that she had previously invited Charo to an earlier podcast episode featuring legends, but Charo politely declined at the time, saying it wasn’t the right moment. Now that the conversation has finally happened, Bianca was able to ask Charo for her take on some of life’s common contradictions and dilemmas.

“When you're young, there's so much to look forward to, so many years ahead of you so you aim high, you dream, you soar. Make sure that you are very clear about your goals. It does not necessarily mean that you write it down, that you note them automatically. It's intuitive so you listen to your heart,” she explained.

She added, “For me, at this stage of my life, I'm really content, content with my journey but looking forward to more adventures, more stuff to learn in life because you know you're really never stop growing.”

Charo also reflected on her youth, saying she always dreamed big while remaining grounded.

“I’ve always had that attitude in life. Dreaming big but staying grounded. Be in touch with reality and don't be too arrogant and think that you know all the answers in the world. Even if you rise up the ranks, there's so much to learn and even at my stage in life, there's so many things to learn especially at this time of digital transformation,” she shared.

She further explained,“Hindi ko alam if magagawa mo ang isang bagay if hindi ka passionate about it. Pwede mo naman magawa, but some may not be lucky. I am not sure how fulfilled and happy they may be, so you really have to make sure that you have a positive perspective in life.”

Charo also talked about the importance of looking on the brighter side while still acknowledging the wounds of the past and striking a balance between positivity and facing life’s hardships. She also reflected on the victim mentality and the struggle of pulling oneself out of misery, as well as the pursuit of happiness in life.
