Wondering how Sofia Andres came up with her vintage bag business?  

The actress-turned-entrepreneur shared an interesting story about how her love and fascination for bags led her to venture into a business that she's openly passionate about.

“Hola! I just wanted to share with you our story and it started as a simple trip to the flea market with my second mom… @angeliquelhuillier just two women bonding over our shared love for bags turned into something so much more meaningful,” she said.

“As we wandered through stalls filled with timeless pieces, stories whispered through worn leather and brass clasps, we both felt it... this is something worth sharing,” she added.

Through an Instagram page named “Riquezas de Sofia,” the 26-year-old actress sells vintage bags she personally handpicked from stores in Spain, in hopes to reach more women who share the same passion and interest as hers.  

“Each vintage bag we chose holds a history, a charm that modern trends can’t replicate. And it made us think… why not bring these treasures to people who, like us, find magic in the old and beautiful?,” she wrote in the same post.  

For Sofia, her purpose in opening the said business goes beyond earning profit. 

“We’re not just selling bags... we’re passing on stories, style, and soul. We hope you feel the love we poured into every find… and maybe, just maybe, you’ll fall in love with them the way we did,” she stressed.  

The actress has been actively taking role in the promotion of her own business, modelling the vintage bags herself. 

In the same post, Sofia expressed her gratitude to the people who supported her budding business.

 “Thank you for supporting our shared dream. @riquezasdesofia,” she said.  

Sofia first shared about her vintage bag business in an interview with Philstar: “I’m also selling vintage bags and leather on Instagram. I also have vintage leather jackets, which I’m really into right now.” 

Last March, the actress also channeled her entrepreneur side after sharing a glimpse of their soon-to-rise restaurant in Dumaguete City — a business venture she shares with her partner, Daniel Miranda.

"Ayong buntag (Magandang umaga)!!! Something new & something different. The Mid-century restaurant dream is coming to life!" she wrote in an Instagram post. 

In 2021, the actress opened “Zoe Essentials,” a brand named after her daughter that offers alcohol sprays and body washes, marking her first business venture.
