Celebrity couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera took their children to Ohori Park in Japan to reflect during Easter Sunday. The Kapuso actor expressed how eye opening their simple bonding was with their children.

Dingdong shared how he and Marian have a tradition of writing down their goals every new year–– something they introduced to the kids earlier this week.

“On Easter Sunday, we found ourselves under a tree by the lake. It’s a ritual Marian and I have quietly kept for years—writing down our dreams and intentions before each new year begins. But this time, we brought the kids in,” he wrote.

The wish list  is made of several things, according to the Kapuso actor, both physical and conceptual. He added that this isn’t just for their personal gains but for everyone to enjoy as well.

“What they wrote took us by surprise,” he revealed. “No toys. No faraway places. Just the purest things: time together. More presence. Taking care of one another. Helping others.”

Dingdong shared that, because of their children’s wish list, it opened their eyes to the blessings that they already have. He expressed how important it is to take a breather once in a while to enjoy the things that are important.

“It made us pause. Because sometimes, in the middle of all the doing and chasing, you forget what’s already here. And maybe that’s all we need every now and then—a quiet pause, a bit of space, a moment to listen to each other and remember what really matters,” he added.

The Kapuso actor noted that some of the wishes are already something they’ve been living all along while others are yet to be fulfilled. He shared how timely it was that they introduced the concept to their kids during Easter.

“What a meaningful day to be reminded of that—on Easter, a day of resurrection, reflection, and hope,” he ended.

Dingdong and Marian tied the knot back in 2014 and share two children–– Zia and Sixto.
