SB19 member Josh Cullen recently addressed fans who defend him and the group against online criticisms. 

In a message on his personal social media page, Josh shared his thoughts on ongoing narratives circulating online.

“I hear you and your feelings are valid. But let’s not be blinded by hate. We don’t need to bring others down just to lift someone up. Let’s not jump to conclusions too quickly.. hindi rin kasi lahat alam agad ang buong kwento,” he wrote.

Josh emphasized his decision to remain calm rather than respond aggressively.

“I can’t bring myself to judge and hate people that easily, even if others try to push me to. That’s just how I am. You guys are different, I know that... and that’s okay and valid as well,” he added.

Josh went on: “We all have battles people don’t see. That’s why I choose not to wish harm on anyone, ever. Kahit madalas ako yung bunot 😅”

He further reminded fans to be respectful and avoid unnecessary conflicts.

“Let’s not get distracted. This was never about competition or clout. We’re here to build something genuine, not break each other down. Keep it healthy. Keep it respectful.”

Josh also addressed his critics, expressing his respect for their opinions. 

“To those who don’t like me - I respect you and your opinions. I just hope na try using a bit more critical thinking next time. 🙏,” he continued.

He ended his message with a composed remark, saying, “Some things don’t need a response, just patience and the right paperwork.”

Josh’s post appears to be a response to various opinions and discussions within the P-pop community. He mentioned being “featured” in narratives he “didn’t sign up for.”

A'TIN, the dedicated fanbase of SB19, quickly expressed their support for Josh.

“Josh, you are an excellent role model for this generation. I hope you find peace amidst the chaos and challenges you face. Your A'TIN family will always be by your side ♡,” a fan wrote.

Another one expressed, “it takes a lot of grace to handle hate with such humility 🥺 takes real strength to be the bigger person in situations like these, and it shows the depth of your character josh. you’ve proven time & time again na you’re a man of wisdom. mad respect sayo ssob 🫡 swerte ng A’TIN sayo forever <333 ito na uuwi na.”

This is not the first time SB19 has called for respect and positivity in online spaces. In July last year, their entertainment label, 1Z Entertainment, released a statement condemning the spread of false information and defamatory statements against the group.

“1Z Entertainment strongly condemns the dissemination of false information and defamatory statements targeting our artists. We implore fans to refrain from engaging in such behavior towards any artist,” 1Z Entertainment wrote in an announcement.

The label also announced legal action against the owners of accounts responsible for spreading malicious content.

“Legal action has been initiated against accounts involved in these malicious acts, and we are diligently working to identify and address the individuals responsible,” they added. “We encourage everyone to promote a respectful and positive online community.”

Meanwhile, Josh and his fellow SB19 members, Stell, Justin, Ken, and Pablo are currently gearing up for the Philippine leg of their much-anticipated Simula at Wakas World Tour on May 31 at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan.
