Park Ji-hoon is set to reprise his role as Yeon Si-eun in the highly anticipated second season of Weak Hero Class, which premieres on Netflix this month.

In an interview with Naver as translated by Soompi, Ji-hoon opened up about his approach to returning to the role.

"I thought a lot about if Yeon Si-eun will be able to make friends again and how to express the flow of meeting them," he relayed.

The went on: "I worked hard to portray Yeon Si Eun’s desperation through my gaze."

Ahead of the show’s release, Ji-hoon and the cast shared a message for their Filipino fans.

"Hello to fans in the Philippines who loved Weak Hero Class 1! I'm Park Ji-hoon who plays Yeon Si-eun, and were back with Weak Hero Class 2," Ji-hoon said in a video posted by Netflix. "Weak Hero Class 2 is coming April 25th. See you on Netflix!"

The second season of the show follows the story of Si-eun "arriving at Eunjang High School, carrying the weight of his past. There, he meets new friends like Park Hu-min (Ryeo Un), Seo Jun-tae (Choi Min-yeong), and Go Hyun-tak (Lee Min-jae) and foes like Choi Hyo-man (Yu Su-bin), Na Baek-jin (Bae Na-ra), and Geum Seong-je (Lee Jun-young)," as per Netflix Tudum.

Netflix released the official trailer of the series on April 11, which quickly drew excited reactions from fans.
