After a quick trip back to the city to attend the ABS-CBN Ball last April 4, Enchong Dee has been busy shooting for the Philippine adaptation of the hit South Korean drama It’s Okay To Not Be Okay which also stars Anne Curtis. The Star Magic artist shared why he has been on a high ever since the year started in an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN.

It’s Okay To Not Be Okay will soon be happening! Hindi ko alam kung kelan but it’s going to be soon this year. Another thing is natapos na namin yung international film na tinatapos namin last year so hopefully this year lalabas siya. Pinoy Big Brother is doing so well. Ang daming natutuwa dun sa collaboration ng ABS-CBN at GMA. And at the same time, I’m just living life to the fullest,” Enchong said.

Since taping for the series began, Enchong has been traveling to different provinces along with the rest of the cast including lead actress Anne Curtis, whom he admitted he admires not just because of her talent, but also her very professional work ethics.

“Sa Dumaguete, Siquijor, at ngayon naman nasa Bacolod kami. As in parang pingpong ball pero masaya kasi honestly, ang dami dami kong natututunan kay Anne Curtis. Ang dami kong learnings na kahit akala ko matagal na ako sa industriya pero after working with her or even while working with her now, mas na-appreciate ko yung trabaho ko. Anne Curtis is already a superstar but you will never hear any complaints from her. Zero. Amazing. Grabe. Now I understand why Anne Curtis is Anne Curtis!” he explained.

In a previous social media post, the Pinoy Big Brother host also shared clips of his experience after cliff-diving at the famous Salagdoong beach in between shooting days at the island of Siquijor. “I got sunburned, stung by a jellyfish, and arm bruises after these 30ft jumps but... it’s worth every moment.”

In his almost two decade-long career in the industry, the 39-year-old actor credited his longtime talent management in ABS-CBN for his continued success in showbiz.

“For 19 years, Star Magic has always been there. Honestly, kung wala yung Star Magic, matagal na siguro akong hindi na artista. Ang daming pamilyang nabuo sa loob ng Star Magic and natutuwa ako na dito sa ABS-CBN Ball nangyari na naman. I thought na hindi na mauulit pero nandito na tayo ulit at magkakasama. So it’s always a celebration. Small, big, up, down, still a celebration,” he shared.

Unlike most stars who already have their holy week break planned, Enchong admitted he didn’t expect to find free time this week. “Actually ngayon lang nagbukas Holy Week ko. Akala ko I’ll be shooting a film. Magsisimula ulit ako ng panibagong film right after the It’s Okay To Not Be Okay taping. Hindi ko pa alam. Wala pa akong naplano. Kasi nalaman ko lang na biglang available pala so let’s see,” he added.
