After making their first red carpet appearance as a couple earlier this month at the ABS-CBN Ball, Carlo Aquino and Charlie Dizon talked to PUSH ABS-CBN in an exclusive interview about their biggest discovery about each other since getting married last year. The low-profile celebrity couple tied the knot in a private resort in Silang, Cavite last June.

“Siyempre proud ako na misis ko si Charlie. Maalaga kasi siya. Ang na-discover ko sa kanya mula nung nagpakasal kami ay hindi siya papatalo. Lalaban at lalaban yan pag alam niyang tama,” Carlo shared. Known to be an extra caring wife, Charlie admitted her husband is appreciative of her love. “Biggest discovery ko, wala, yung gustong gusto din niya na inaalagaan siya, ganun,” she added.

Both avid travelers, Carlo and Charlie have enjoyed traveling together in countries like Japan, Thailand, and most recently, in Singapore. The two revealed that they agree on very specific roles before leaving the country. “Ang love ko kasi kay Carlo siya kasi halos nagpaplano ng lahat tapos parang sasama na lang ako (laughs). Game lang ako talaga. So na-appreciate ko yung na-pa-plan lahat so pag kasama ko siya, secured na lahat,” Charlie revealed.

Carlo said that aside from seeing new things and going on little adventures, he and his wife also enjoy discovering new food together. “Gusto ko yung tinatanggap lang niya yung mga plans ko. Kahit anong adventure yun. Foodie rin kasi kami sobrang sarap. Yun rin yung pinagkakasunduan namin,” he shared.

The couple told PUSH ABS-CBN their future travel plans. The two will be spending their Holy Week in Bangkok, Thailand to experience the annual Songkran Festival which also coincides with Charlie’s birthday celebration. “Gino-goal namin yung Switzerland kaso ang hirap din dahil sa schedule namin. or sa South Africa sana. Kasi hirap talaga sa schedule so tina-try namin talaag balanse lahat. So yung mga mini-trips muna. So right now, mag-ta-Thailand kami and maybe Korea din,” she said.

Carlo and Charlie first worked together on the set of the ABS-CBN series A Soldier's Heart in 2022. They starred in the film Third World Romance in 2023 and subsequently confirmed they were in a relationship that same year.
