Since being cast as one of the lead characters in the action drama series Incognito, actor Anthony Jennings said that he has definitely bonded with his co-stars with whom he has filmed in locations inside and outside the country. Anthony said he has previously worked with Daniel Padilla on the 2020 series The House Arrest of Us.

The two actors have gotten so close that they’ll be spending Holy Week together, which will also be part of DJ’s advanced birthday celebration. “Matagal na kaming nag-work together. Magkasama kami sa House Arrest of Us, 'di ba? So may friendship na kami. Mas naging close lang kami ngayon,” Anthony told PUSH ABS-CBN in an exclusive interview. 

Ever since they started taping Incognito in places like Italy, Japan, and in far out locations in the Philippines, Anthony admitted he has discovered a deeper side to DJ he didn’t know about before.

“Mas nakilala namin yung isa’t isa. Nagugulat ako na ganun pala siya. Nagugulat din siya na may ganun akong personality. Totoo siyang tao. Straightforward siyang tao. Alam niya kung ano yung gusto niya. Alam niya kung ano yung ayaw niya sayo, yung tama at mali. Ganun yun,” he explained.

Having played many endearing roles on TV and film since he joined showbiz in 2019, the 24-year-old Fil-British actor said he is not bothered by being typecast in roles that have him portraying the rough-around-the-edges yet lovable guy who grew up on the streets.

“Kasi siguro kung paano ako magsalita siguro. Yung way ng pagsasalita ko. Yung kung kausapin ko lahat, parang kaibigan ko lang, yung wala masyadong walls, kumbaga. Pero masaya naman. Okay lang naman,” he told PUSH ABS-CBN. 

When he’s not busy playing the role of Tomas Guerrero onscreen, Anthony said he is just like any regular guy who enjoys his day off, chilling at home. “Nag-wo-workout, kain, tulog. Tapos video games, basketball. Siguro kasama ko yung mga friends ko, gagala.”
