As she heads out of town to spend the holy week break with her friends, actress Andrea Brillantes has already collected many happy memories even only in the first quarter of the year. Last March, the 22-year-old actress celebrated her makeup and cosmetics brand Lucky Beauty’s second anniversary as well as being able to join her friends in a beach competition on Boracay island. 

In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, Andrea revealed why that particular out-of-town trip was extra memorable despite having been to Boracay multiple times before in the past.

“It was super fun kasi first time kong mag-Boracay na hindi work. First time kong mag-Boracay with friends na hindi work. Usually I go there pag Christmas lang with my family or work talaga. Most of the time nag-bo-Boracay ako for work. It was the first time na nag-relax ako with my friends and ayun, masaya siya,” she explained.

Despite been seen actively playing ultimate frisbee on the beach that weekend, Andrea admitted she probably won’t becoming a super serious athlete in the sport like Derek Ramsay after getting a minor injury on the field while trying to catch a disc.

“Not naman athlete era pero more active ako ngayon and sobra akong nag-e-enjoy mas maging active eh kasi parang mas nakakain ko yung mga gusto kong makain. Pero I don’t think (I’ll play na)  kasi nabungi ako dun eh so medyo traumatized ako. Natamaan ako ng disc. Medyo masakit!” she admitted.

While in Boracay, numerous photos surfaced online from netizens who spotted Andrea being close with one of the players from a team. In an interview with ABS-CBN last March, Andrea revealed she is currently dating Filipino-Jordanian former basketball player Sam Fernandez, who used to play basketball in high school in San Beda University and is also an ultimate frisbee player.

For her birthday wish this year, Andrea shared, “Hindi mawala 'yung relationship and faith ko with Lord. And ma-strengthen lang 'yung relationship ko sa Kanya. Kasi sa Kanya lang din nanggaling 'yung peace and happiness ko. So, I believe if I just keep on pressing with my relationship with God, kahit ano pang obstacle 'yan kakayanin ko 'yan.”
