Before becoming a parent to his first child Roman Andrew with his non-showbiz girlfriend Michelina which he revealed through a video he uploaded last year, actor Albie Casiño said he didn’t understand why his friends who were already parents would get so bothered whenever they had to leave their sick kids at home. During the recent ABS-CBN Ball, Albie revealed how he could now relate since his son was feeling under the weather.

“When I was younger, if I was at an event like this and my friends na parents would say something like this, I would be like, ‘Huwag mo na isipin kasi andito ka na now,' but now I know better, so sorry guys (laughs). Imposibleng hindi mo isipin if your son is sick. But also, it’s so great. Like all the emotions, they come talaga. Like now, when he’s sick I can’t enjoy fully because he’s always on my mind,” he told PUSH ABS-CBN in an exclusive interview.

Since becoming a parent. the 31-year-old actor shared what he just discovered about himself that he never thought was possible before becoming a father. “I guess never ko na-realize na kaya kong magmahal ng tao ng ganito kalala. You know what I mean? I can’t explain it. It’s like everything he does, I’m just so proud of him. And I’m just so happy to see him all the time,” he added.

When asked if he would like to have more children in the future, Albie stressed that he wants to enjoy his firstborn for a while, being an only child himself.

“No (laughs). Because with everything that’s good that’s coming out, it’s also hard di ba? Being a parent is hard. It’s stressful. The financial burden is also talagang hard di ba? So i want to be able to give my full focus to him now. Maybe when he’s a little older pag mas independent na siya, I can have another one. But I’m not really thinking about that now. I’m just really cherishing every moment that I have with him. Kasi ang bilis niya lumaki eh. Ang bilis! I was just looking at my pictures from four months ago, five months ago, and sobrang layo niya na,” he explained.

The FPJ's Batang Quiapo actor also shared how entering parenthood has changed him for the better, even calling his son ‘the biggest blessing in his life’ in one social media post. But when it comes to acting, Albie said he is just always working on bettering himself in his craft. “I don’t think so. Maybe it’s easier to relate to some characters and stuff but parang same lang naman. I’m able to keep thats separate,” he said.

Albie first starting acting in 2010 where he was cast as Christian "Otoy" Torralba in the hit ABS-CBN series Mara Clara where he played the role of Kathryn Bernardo’s boyfriend. He also starred in the 2019 family drama Los Bastardos where he played the role of Lucas Aguilar-Cardinal. He was also in the series Can’t Buy Me Love last year.
