"I feel super connected to love."

These were the words of Katy Perry after landing back on Earth following her flight to space aboard Blue Origin's rocket on Monday, April 14 (U.S. time).

The pop star remarked that the experience has provided her a bigger understanding on love.

"I think this experience has shown me you never know how much love is inside of you, like how much love you have to give, and how love you are the day you launch," she said in an interview with CNN.

During her trip to space, Katy brought a daisy flower with her. It can be recalled that the singer named her daughter Daisy.

Katy remarked that the flower has significant meaning to her.

"Daises are common flowers, but they grow through any condition. They grow through cement, they grow through cracks, they grow through walls. They are resilient, they are powerful, they are strong. They are everywhere. Flowers to me is God's smile and it's also a reminder of our beautiful Earth," she stated.

Katy also shared why she sang "What a Wonderful World" during her time in space.

"I've covered that song in the past and obviously my higher self is always steering this ship because I had no clue that one day I would decide to sing a little bit of that in space, but I think that it's not about me, it's not about singing my songs. It's about a collective energy in there, it's about us, it's about making space for future women," she stated.

She went on: "And taking up space and belonging and it's about this wonderful world that we see right out there and appreciating it."

Katy took part of the historic NS-31 mission aboard Blue Origin's New Shepard rocket, joining an all-female crew that included Amazon founder Jeff Bezos’s fiancée Lauren Sánchez, CBS broadcaster Gayle King, aerospace engineer Aisha Bowe, film producer Kerianne Flynn, and civil rights advocate Amanda Nguyen.

Katy previously took to Instagram to express her excitement about the historic mission, sharing her thoughts on the milestone. "If you had told me that I would be part of the first ever all-female crew in space, I would have believed you♥️😉," she remarked.

The pop star reflected on her lifelong sense of wonder, recalling how her imagination shaped her dreams despite humble beginnings.

"Nothing was beyond my imagination as a child. Although we didn’t grow up with much, I never stopped looking at the world with hopeful WONDER!" she stated.
