It’s been years since the KDLex love team of Alexa Ilacad and KD Estrada was formed, and now it seems both are continuously growing professionally and personally, together.

In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, Alexa shared how she and KD have matured in handling things between them.

“Honestly nothing much has changed. I think we're still the same, like how we listen to each other, how we advise one another, how we're able to bounce ideas off of each other, I think it's still the same. So evolved in a way lang na it got better. And we know when things are about to get heated na, we just stop, we take a breather,” she revealed.

She also mentioned how they’ve learned to work through giving and taking.

“We just give each other our own time to shine. ‘Okay, ideas mo na muna, then okay, ikaw naman, panay ako na.’ So, yun, ganon talaga yung teamwork, yung dynamics naming dalawa,” she added.

Meanwhile, Alexa expressed how impressed she was by KD’s growth as an actor, especially in their recent film Co-Love which was part of the Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival 2025.

“I really enjoy doing Co-Love kasi I really saw KD like in his own life talaga. Kasi I was supporting him there. Siya talaga yung lead ng Co-Love kasi. So I was just there watching him, supporting him, and I really had fun supporting him. Nakita ko kung gaano siya kaseryoso talaga sa ginagawa niya. How he's very willing to learn, and how he wants to keep growing as an actor, and hinangaan ko siya,” she said.

The Kapamilya actress also shared how much she enjoys allowing her love team partner to shine on his own.

“Napansin ko rin na yung rapport namin, parang okay lang din sa akin to stay at the back and just watch him shine. And it actually felt really nice. Nakita ko siya na mag-grow talaga as a person and as an actor,” Alexa expressed.
