Alden Richards and Barbie Forteza recently shared how running has positively impacted both their physical and mental well-being.

Alden emphasized that while many sports can benefit one’s health, running is among the most accessible and easiest to start.

"Actually marami naman talagang sports na pwedeng makatulong sa ating kalusugan pero I think isa 'yung pinaka-available at pinakamadaling gawin is really 'yung pagtakbo," Alden said in interview with 24 Oras.

For the actor, running has become more than just a form of exercise. He shared that it’s a crucial part of maintaining his mental health.

"'Yung running kasi is more than just a sport already. Number one reason niya is for my sanity talaga. Medyo psychological na 'yung effect sa akin ng running so ito kagaya nito, iba eh, it's a different world for me," he relayed.

Barbie, echoing Alden’s sentiments, shared how running motivates her to start the day productively.

"First thing in the morning may na-achieve ka na agad, productive ka na agad, and mas nakaka-motivate na to go through your day," the actress said.

The two stars recently participated in a charity fun run to raise funds for children with cancer, which added extra meaning to the experience.

"It's more meaningful for me kasi this is a charity fun run for children with cancer and I'm so thankful to Alden for inviting me dito sa run na 'to," Barbie stated.
