Singer-actor Janno Gibbs and his sister Melissa Gibbs-Pabalan visited the final resting place of their late father, veteran actor James Ronald Gibbs who is widely known as Ronaldo Valdez.

In a video posted on Instagram, the siblings were seen offering a moment of prayer in front of their father’s urn.

Janno, in his post’s caption, penned a heartfelt message for his dad whom he described as “a beautiful soul.”

“You’re finally where you’ve always wanted to be Papa! You are missed. You are loved. Always,” he wrote.

In a separate Instagram post, Melissa shared some snaps from their visit, also leaving an endearing phrase.

“Forever in our hearts,” she wrote in the caption.

Singer-songwriter and It’s Showtime host Ogie Alcasid left a short yet meaningful message in the comment section of Janno’s post.

“Praying for you all. Love you guys,” he said.

This is not the first time the siblings paid a tribute to their father, as they never forget him especially on special occasions like Father’s Day, death anniversary, and birthdays.

In December 2024, during Ronaldo’s first death anniversary, Janno shared an old photo of himself with his dad attached with a message: “To dance with my father again. It's been a year. Still missing you.”

Melissa also did the same thing, dedicating an emotional message to her departed father.

“In Loving memory of a Father who will forever hold a special place in our hearts. One year may have passed, but your love remains with us,” she said.

Ronaldo Valdez died on December 23, 2023, due to a gunshot wound. He was 77.

In a 2024 interview at Karen Davila’s YouTube Channel, Janno said that his father “wanted to go on his own terms.”

“I think it was spontaneous. I think he had a bad day, or he was having bad days, and he wanted to go on his own terms,” he said.
