Every time beauty queen and actress Gloria Diaz enters a room, she leaves an impression, whether it's with her "unfiltered" opinions and revelations or with her always-glow-inducing aura.

Diaz, who looked stunning in her modest black ensemble and gold earrings, confessed in an interview with select showbiz journalists that she has been in a relationship with a younger guy for 28 years.

When asked about the status of her romantic life, the beauty queen replied, “Super good. My partner is Mike de Jesus. He’s the president of DBP. He’s younger than me.”

One reporter went to ask, “And richer?” She proudly said, “Definitely. He’s a very serious man.” 

Diaz also revealed that, while she and her ex-husband are no longer together, they have become friends and even hang out with her partner now.

“Him and my ex-husband, we used to go out for dinner together. Sabi ko, ‘I can handle two guys at the same time. Kayang-kaya ‘yan,’” Diaz shared. 

“My ex-husband was very good but you know we were younger and had too many friends and parted as friends and he became a better father,” she added. 

Does she ever consider having a second marriage? She replied: “‘Wag na. At my age, alangan naman naka-white pa akong [wedding gown].”

On beauty, unfiltered opinions 

Diaz, 74, is still looking graceful, which she attributes to being busy.

When asked about how she keeps her beauty, she told ABS-CBN News, “How do I maintain? By being busy, working, having many friends, of course my children, my apos, my boyfriend. I drink a little wine but more champagne. I exercise. I get a massage, [body] steam, and I [do] my hair, makeup, everything.”

And how does she keep up with the younger actors on set? The Miss Universe spoke with ABS-CBN News, “Hindi ko alam na puro gabi pala ang shooting. Start ng 11 p.m. How can you pack up at 12 a.m.? So, you have to be flexible and enjoy what you’re doing.”

For someone who has been in the entertainment industry for many years, played numerous roles, and worked with many artists, does she ever feel the need to put demands?

Expressing her gratitude to showbiz, she told ABS-CBN News, “Nothing. I love the business as it is kasi it has made it very comfortable for me. Everything I have ( because of showbiz). A lot of what I have comes from the business.”

Aside from being the most celebrated beauty queen-actress in the Philippines, Diaz is frequently in the headlines for her unfiltered opinions, which she admits she now limits to topics that are truly important.

“My daughter wrote on my Instagram, ‘Without filter since 1969.’ But nowadays I try to lower not to say everything kasi napapahiya sila (daughters) or sometimes I’m quoted or mistakenly wrongly,” she said.

She added, “In a way, I’m able to explain why I said this, I said that. But, in truth, I’m trying very hard—not always successful—to be more sedate, careful. Medyo filtered pero lumalabas din, e. At the end, I always say what I want.”

Diaz is in Regal's biggest horror movie of the year, "Untold," which also stars Jodi Sta. Maria, Juan Karlos Labajo, Joem Bascon, Mylene Dizon, Kaori Oinuma, Sarah Edwards, and Lianne Valentin.

The Derick Cabrido film hits cinemas on April 30.
