Shaina Magdayao looked back on her decision to forgo having a love team early in her career, a choice that set her apart in an industry where love teams are a major part of Philippine entertainment.

Instead, she prioritized working with a diverse range of actors. "I said that I would appreciate it more if I collaborated with different types of leading men that we have in the Philippines," she recalled.

"I may have lost some opportunities but I definitely gained more by proving that I can be partnered with different kinds of leading men," she remarked.

In the same interview, Shaina reflected on how her perspective as an artist has evolved over the years. "The longer you stay in the industry, you try to find more meaning and purpose into what you're doing," she pointed out.

"Life would definitely humble you," she stressed. "It will definitely make you realize that you do not know everything and that you are not in control of anything, which is why whenever good things happen in your life, you have to be grateful."

Now at a different stage in her career, Shaina is focused on giving back to the industry and using her platform to create a meaningful impact. "I'm at this point wherein I'm paying back and being able to contribute in the industry in my own little way," she said.

Of course, with this world right now, especially with the world of social media, they're comparing or they're wanting to be someone else but I always say that they have to embrace their authenticity because they're uniqueness is their greatest asset at the end of the day, and that you are here for a purpose that only you can fulfill," she stated.
