To celebrate his daughter Hailey’s second birthday this year, actor Diego Loyzaga took his firstborn to a resort in Bohol, as seen in his latest Instagram post.

Hailey is Diego’s daughter with his partner Alexis Suapengco. Along with a series of heartwarming father and daughter photos and video clips, Diego included the captioned, “A year went by so fast.”

In an earlier post, Diego called Hailey his “mi amor” and his “forever date”.   Diego also shared photos of them spending the day together at a mall in Taguig City, shopping and enjoying a movie.

It was in June last year when Diego first went public with the news that he was now a first time parent and declared the news his “best birthday gift ever.”

Last seen in the 2018 ABS-CBN drama series Los Bastardos which also starred Jake Cuenca, Albie Casino, and Joseph Marco, as well the 2024 film  Isang Gabi where he was paired with Coleen Garcia, Diego continues to hone his craft and be a good dad at the same time. 

During a previous Kapamilya interview, Diego admitted how much his night life has changed since he entered fatherhood. “Bihira na. Only on special occasions will I be summoned to come out at night. I now like the feeling of waking up early. I’d rather na morning ko na gawin lahat ng kailangan ko gawin, so night time is time for rest,” he shared. 

 In an interview on the digital show Anong Ganap? in late March, Diego shared that he is open to the possibility of doing a BL (Boys Love) series if the opportunity presents itself. 

He told host Phoemela Barranda, “As actor, as an artist, it's part of our job requirement. It's just another role. We are just portraying something na, it's not out of the ordinary. You are portraying another person, you are telling another story. So oo naman. Hindi naman siguro siya daring, so I think, why not? Malay mo doon ako magaling.”
