Being one with her fellow stage artists in celebrating World Theater Day last March 27, Vina Morales shared a post on social media commemorating her first and latest performances on stage. The 49-year-old Star Magic artist first made her theatrical debut in the 13 years ago in the Atlantis’ musical production Rock of Ages. In 2023, she played the role of Aurora Aquino, mother of Ninoy Aquino in the Broadway disco-pop musical Here Lies Love.

In her post, Vina wrote, “Happy #WorldTheatreDay! ✨ The stage has been my second home - whether as a singer, performer or theatre actor. It’s where I’ve sung, danced, laughed, cried, and poured my heart out in every performance. Being in this industry for a while now, I’ve fallen in love with theatre not just as a fan watching from the audience but as someone blessed to be part of the magic on stage. From rocking out as Sherrie in Rock of Ages to stepping onto the Broadway stage as Doña Aurora Aquino in Here Lies Love, every role has been a gift, every story a journey. I am forever grateful.”

Vina also gave credit to the theater community in the same post. She added, “I’m grateful for the magic of theatre, the people I’ve met, and the artists I’ve worked with. So much love and high respect for everyone in this world of theatre! ❤️ Happy world theatre day! ✨🎉”

Two years ago, Vina shared her sentiments on Instagram after making her first international musical performance. She wrote, “My Broadway debut was magical 🥹💫💕 You made it all magical 💫💕 I am overwhelmed by the love and amazing reviews 🙏 I made it to Broadway! A dream come True and another checked on my bucket list✔️ 31 shows to go coz Ill be on the dance floor until Oct 22 💃 Now i can say I am a Broadway Actor ☺️💃🙏💫 to God be the Glory 🙏

To all our producers , production team and amazing casts Thank you all for the love and for welcoming me with love and positive energy 😍 i can feel it in the room when you raised a welcome toast for me! I was in tears of joy 🥹 Love you my @herelieslovebway family 💕”

This year, Vina marks her teleserye comeback in the Kapuso network after 20 years. In a previous interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, she shared why she took a hiatus from taking on drama series. 

“Medyo natagalan rin ako bago nagkaroon ng soap opera o teleserye. 20 years na noh, grabe! Actually, last year may mga offers naman. May mga inquiries, kaya lang hindi natutuloy because I was in the US. Tapos nag-Broadway ako sa Here Lies Love, then I did my own shows and then I did a concert with David Pomeranz. So hindi na natuloy-tuloy. So finally, this 2025 tuloy na tuloy na. Hindi mawawala yung kaba! I think lahat naman ng performers or actors and singers, every time na bago mag-umpisa, talagang nandodoon ‘yung kaba. Kasi kapag wala ‘yung kaba parang wala, kumpiyansado ka lang, masyado ka ng at ease ‘di ba? So mas gusto ko ‘yung may kaba. Hindi ibig sabihin na kapag kinakabahan ako, hindi ako excited.”
