In his post, Randy wrote, “I am just so excited to share with you my newest song composed by our Platinum Composer, Mr .Vehnee Saturno. I gave him to work on the title LOVER BOY and he instantly delivered the song in less than a day. We were just so stimulated to work on the song and record it right away. Thank You to our musical arranger Iean Iñigo and# guitarist, Janno Queyquep for the great playing and pop rock feel. Please enjoy my new song LOVER BOY on Vehnee Saturno Youtube Channel and soon on Spotify and other platforms.”

In an earlier post, Randy shared his excitement prior to the launch of the single, which is about a man’s passionate and loyal love to the object of his affection. “May bago akong kanta mula sa panunulat ng Platinum Composer na si Vehnee Saturno. Excited na kaming i launch at iparinig sa inyo very very soon. Sana ay tangkilikin at magustuhan ninyo,” Randy wrote.

Randy’s longtime friend and OPM president Ogie Alcasid also showed support for the singer in a recent Instagram post. He wrote, “Let go kuys!!! @randysantiagoofficial with his new song!!! Tsalap!!”

Last month, Randy also shared an unexpected moment running into The Voice Season 26 winner, Sofronio Vasquez. He wrote, “So nice to see you brother. Congratulations and may you continue to showcase your beautiful voice and great music all over the world. Mabuhay ka Sof. Pinoy Pride🇵🇭”

Randy had preciously shared with ABS-CBN plans of coming out with more songs and his plans for the future.

Known for his signature shades, the Sing Galing host revealed he would also love to collaborate on a song with the Diamond Star, Maricel Soriano, who he starred in the comedy film Taray at Teroy in 1988, a film which was directed by his father Pablo Santiago. “Gusto kong makagawa ulit kami ni Maria (Maricel Soriano). May concept na nga ako for that. Dahil long time ago na rin ’yun kaya ‘yung mga anak na namin bale ang parang magkakagustuhan,” he added.

Last year, Randy produced the Eye-Con concert where he shared that he was far from having any plans of retirement from showbiz. “No, no, no retirement. I’m saying that I’m getting old. I’ll be turning 64 and of course ‘yung nakasanayan nilang galaw ko eh siyempre hindi naman magandang kumakanta pa akong may edad na ako pero ganun pa rin ‘yung galaw ko. Hindi naman po. As long as they’re still there to watch me. At saka medyo maikot tayo ngayon eh. We do a lot of concerts abroad also. So medyo maikot tayo.” he said. “Aside from concerts kasi, alam naman natin na television is there so medyo may mga nagpaparamdam na bumalik tayo ng television. Maraming mga ganun.”
