Alex remains grounded, acknowledging that her breakthrough moment is just the beginning of a longer journey.

It was a breakthrough tournament for Alex, who turned heads with her impressive string of victories over higher-ranked players.

Her remarkable run included a second-round win over former French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko, followed by a stunning win against reigning Australian Open champion Madison Keys in the third round. Although her journey ended with a loss to world No. 4 Jessica Pegula of the United States, Alex advanced to the quarterfinals after world No. 11 Paula Badosa of Spain withdrew due to a back injury. She managed to win over No. 2 seed Iga Swiatek in the quarterfinals.

Despite the semifinal exit, Alex leaves Miami with a career milestone as she is projected to break into the WTA Top 75 for the first time and will take home $332,160 in prize money, which is her biggest earnings to date.
