Klarisse de Guzman opened up about why she decided to join Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition.

In an interview with PUSH ABS-CBN prior to entering the house, Klarisse shared that she has been a longtime fan of the reality show.

"Actually, at first siyempre nag-dalawang isip ako kasi natakot ako," she confessed. "Though fan talaga ako ng PBB so aware ako sa mga gagawin sa loob, mga tasks, challenges, mapalayo ka sa family. Pero nung naisip ko, gusto ko ma-try kasi once in a lifetime lang 'to di ba and gusto ko ma-challenge 'yung sarili ko."

As a longtime fan of the show, Klarisse shared that she's looking forward most to one moment in particular. "Gusto kong ma-experience 'yung marinig ang boses ni Kuya sa confession room and 'yung maka-heart to heart talk ko siya. Ang sarap sa pakiramdam na mago-open up ka kay Kuya tapos napapanood ng tao," she said.

When asked how she thinks being a PBB housemate would affect her music career, Klarisse responded with humor and honesty.

"Actually, 'yan ang hindi ko alam. It's either mamahalin ka or baka mainis sa'yo 'yung mga tao, paglabas mo batuhin ka ng itlog so depende, bahala na po sila," she quipped.

Despite the uncertainties, Klarisse said she’s entering the house with one clear goal, which is to stay true to herself.

"Gusto ko lang ipakita' yung ibang side ni Klarisse. Kasi usually kakanta, seryoso sa stage, pagka-kanta baba na, but ito kasi makikita na 'yung totoong Klarisse, 'yung side na hindi pa nakikita ng marami," she stated.

As for the possibility of criticism from viewers, she said she’s already prepared herself mentally and emotionally.

"Ni-ready ko na rin naman 'yung sarili ko bago ako actually mag-try dito sa PBB and ayun siguro tanggapin na lang kung maraming magiging bashers, kung maraming magmahahal sa'yo, tanggapin mo na lang. Kung bashers man 'yan dedma na lang, basta tuluy-tuloy mo lang kung ano 'yung ginagawa mo," she remarked.
