This was the bold response of Kapuso actor-comedian Buboy Villar after allegations of physical abuse by his former live-in partner, Angillyn Gorens, surfaced online.

In an interview with 24 Oras, Buboy said that he would not resort to physical abuse, citing that he bore witness to his parents’ abusive relationship.

Malabo po,” he said.

On Wednesday, March 26, Angillyn issued a lengthy statement on Facebook, walking the netizens through the details of their separation.  The post contained screenshots of their private messages as well as photos of herself with bruises.

She also recalled an instance when Buboy allegedly attempted to crash the car they were riding in, with their children inside.

When asked about the accusation that he’s a neglectful father to his two kids, Vlanz and George, the actor-comedian said that the issue of financial support was already “settled.”

Sinabi ko talaga kung ano ‘yung parang kaya ko as a father, so naisarado naman po namin nang maayos ‘yon kaya ‘yung mga ganitong pangyayari, kung iisipin kong mabuti po, nakakalungkot,” he explained.

In the same post,  Angillyn opened up about his ex-partner’s lack of financial support for their children, but she stressed that she was not complaining about it.

“Sa sustento naman, wala naman problema. Hindi siya nagsustento for almost 2 years. Wala naman kami kahit kailan naging reklamo kahit 40k per taping /per hosting per day si Buboy, choice niya ‘yun,” she remarked.

She also called out Buboy and his current girlfriend, Isay Sampiano, for allegedly displaying intimate moments, particularly kissing, in front of her children.

As of this writing, Angillyn has yet to respond to Buboy’s statement.

On March 22, Isay made a public appearance on the actor-comedian’s podcast Your Honor with Tuesday Vargas, surprising him for his birthday.

Buboy and Angillyn were previously engaged in 2016 but eventually separated in 2020.
