Mark Herras and Nicole Donesa have officially settled into their newly renovated home, Casa Corky, in Quezon City.

The couple, soon to be a family of four, documented their move-in process on their YouTube channel, sharing their excitement and challenges after three years of renovations on Mark’s parental home.

“Yung pagod and hassle na nangyari ngayon is fulfilling. It’s a good kind of problem to have, It’s a good stress to have. It’s so overwhelming to put in things,” Nicole shared as they moved in earlier in March.

Nicole explained that Mark was at work during the move-in, attending a photoshoot.

“You might be wondering,” Nicole shared. “Si (Mark) Herras nasa work. He has a photoshoot today. After his photoshoot, he’s gonna go straight here (at home) na… Mark is a little worried cause basically kami lang ni Corky here.”

Nicole then shared clips of her and Corky conversing as she captioned the video with: “Can't wait to watch you grow up in the house, Corky.

Later, the family enjoyed their first dinner together at Casa Corky.

“Truly one of the most important parts of our day as a family: eating breakfast, lunch and dinner together,” said in the video caption. “We didn’t realize it here but now that we’re watching this all over again, this moment was actually the first dinnertime we had at Casa Corky.”

The caption added, “We can’t wait to make more memories and reconnect with one another in every breakfast, lunch and dinner at Casa Corky.”

A special moment occurred when a butterfly flew around their home, which they saw as a sign of Mark’s late parents watching over them.

“This butterfly was one of Mark’s parents who have passed away, protecting and watching over us as we finally settle in Casa Corky. I’m sure they are so happy to see how far we’ve all come,” they sentimentally wrote in the video caption.

“We are really feeling at home. I still can't believe it’s happening, but it still hasn't sunk in yet.”

Despite their excitement, Nicole admitted she had trouble sleeping on the first night.

“Di kami makatulog lahat. Namamahay kaming lahat,” she shared.

The couple ended the night with midnight snacks and conversation.

Prior to officially moving in, Nicole showed a notable feature of Casa Corky which was its use of solar panels, a long-time dream of hers.

“We are going to be a solar panel household,” she expressed.

She added, “Matagal na namin plinano. Actually, pangarap ko magkaroon ng solar panel because on how it can save energy. Ang taas na rin ng kuryente. Noong ginagawa namin yung bahay na sana, minamanifest ko na, na magkaroon kami ng solar panel somehow.”

In a previous interview with GMA News, Mark shared their plans on his parent’s old home and why they named their house after their eldest son’s nickname.

“We're rebuilding the house. Ayon 'yung bahay ko sa may Commonwealth na, siyempre, sa 'min na nga 'yun nila Nicole. Basically it's for Corky, sa anak namin, pero super renovation siya kasi parang dinemolish 'yung bahay. As in from scratch siya gagawin," Mark said.

“It's the same size, 'di ko naman pinalakihan 'yung bahay. Ginawa lang siyang modern 'yung design ng bahay, minaximize lang 'yung space,” he added.

Casa Corky also hosted its first celebration, a double event for Corky’s 4th birthday and an intimate gender reveal for their second child last February.

“The reason why we are having a little simple celebration on his mismong birthday is because we are going to make his real celebration with guest sa bahay and that’s going to be happening on February 8,” Nicole explained. "It’s basically the first official party at the house. I-test drive una namin ang lahat.”

“Of course, si Corky ang may-ari ng bahay kaya kailangan doon siya magcelebrate ng birthday at siya una ang magbirthday doon. Ise-segue na rin namin yung gender reveal with our families and friends,” the actress remarked.
