Angeline Quinto shared how she played a role in Sarah Geronimo becoming part of Star for a Night.

In an interview with Maricel Soriano in her latest YouTube vlog, Angeline looked back on her early memories with Sarah, revealing that they were schoolmates in elementary.

She added that they both sang in their school’s choir before eventually crossing paths again, this time as contestants on Star for Night.

"Nung time na dumating 'yung Star for a Night, nagkasama kaming dalawa dun. Siya po 'yung nanalo nung grand finals," she stated.

Angeline relayed that she joined the competition before Sarah did and it was her encounter with Sarah’s mother, Divine Geronimo, that helped paved the way for Sarah’s audition.

Sarah won Star for a Night, which aired on IBC and was hosted by Regine Velasquez, on March 1, 2003. Meanwhile, Angeline became one of the eleven grand finalists of the show at that time.

Later on, Angeline joined Star Power of ABS-CBN wherein she emerged as the winner during the grand finals of the competition in February 2011.
