Longtime couple Gladys Reyes and Christopher Roxas celebrated an incredible milestone: their 32 years of togetherness.

From childhood sweethearts to devoted parents and life partners, the couple opened up about the secret to the longevity of their relationship and the values that held them together through decades.

"Sa amin what I see now basta ang purpose namin is maging masaya kami, 'yung mga anak namin mapatama, maging mabuting mag-asawa kami, maging mabuting ama [ako]... parents, that's what's important so dun lang ako nakatingin, 'yung purpose every day," Christopher said in an interview with Gladys in her latest YouTube vlog.

The actor emphasized that it’s not about perfection, but about growth and intention. "Nag-aaral pa rin kami sa pagsasama namin. It's a fun ride, sometimes malungkot but sabi nga di ba, it's not the destination, it's the journey. No, it's who you're with [in] the journey," he stated.

Gladys echoed his sentiments and emphasized that their journey was far from easy.

"'Yung 32 years hindi naman 'yun kaagad plantsado. It wasn't an easy ride. Tama rin naman talaga si Christopher, ang dami muna naming pinagdaanan na bumps on the road ika nga bago naging patag talaga lahat. It's just happens na maaga kaming nag-start because we started as childhood sweethearts," she said.

The actress recalled how they began as young sweethearts in the entertainment industry, facing public doubt early on in their relationship.

"Honestly, before kasi nga dahil bata kami na naging boyfriend and girlfriend, siyempre na-feel namin nung time na 'yun na parang you and me against the world, kasi marami mga [nagsabi], 'Siguro pagkatapos ng show tapos na rin yan,'" she recalled.

Gladys believes the biggest factor behind the strength of their relationship is their shared faith.

"Pero ako I always say, biggest part talaga on why we have this, whatever we have is 'yung faith talaga namin. Biggest part, I think. Importante na nagkakaisa kayo dun sa faith ninyo," she remarked. "Importante 'yung foundation ninyo nandun sa faith."
