When he’s not busy on the set shooting action scenes for his blockbuster series Incognito, it looks like actor Richard Gutierrez enjoys spending time with his sons the most. The 41-year-old actor recently shared clips after flying back to the country just to make it in time for his youngest son Kai’s seventh birthday last March 21.

The Incognito star shared snapshots from all his favorite bonding activities with his two sons, like swimming, mini-golf, horseback riding, cosplaying, and going on car rides together. 

In his post, he wrote, “Zero sleep and still on East Coast time, but back in Manila in time for Kai’s 7th birthday. Wouldn’t miss his birthday for the world.”

He continued with a birthday message for Kai. “To my youngest son whose infectious smile and limitless energy lights up every room, always remember that we love you, keep being yourself and keep being awesome. Always protect your kind heart and good intentions. Dad will always have your back. I love you Kai❤️.”

Richard co-parents his two sons, Zion and Kai, with actress Sarah Lahbati. Earlier this year, Richard revealed that he and his wife are already undergoing the process of annulment. The couple have been married since 2020 and announced their separation last year. 

Richard regularly shares photos of him and his kids whenever they spend time together. 

In a 2019 interview with Pep, Richard shared his parenting style and how he chooses to teach his child discpline. “I try not to be so strict. I try to let them be and let them decide and grow on their own. But, you know, we give them guidelines. I'm not super strict but there are boundaries. Kanya-kanyang ways naman kung paano mo idi-discipline yung child mo. Talking to them, making them understand is number one priority more than anything."

Richard currently stars in the action-packed series Incognito where he plays the role of Jose Bonifacio, an ex-military special forces agent who gets contracted to lead a highly specialized team doing covert missions for the government. He is joined by co-stars  Daniel Padilla, Baron Geisler, Anthony Jennings, Maris Racal, Kaila Estrada, and Ian Veneracion.
