Mikael Daez and Megan Young are known as one of the most laid-back and down-to-earth couples in local showbiz. They tied the knot in January 2020, and in December last year, they announced Megan’s pregnancy in fun, game-themed post.

The couple continues to prove their vibe has not changed after sharing snapshots of a recent baby shower for their baby boy.

Their baby shower, which had a “do-it-yourself” theme, was an intimate and casual affair attended by their closest friends and loved ones, as seen in photos taken by Next by Metrophoto. According to Mikael, even though he helped plan and host the party,  most of the credit should go to to his wife, who he lovingly refers to as “Bones.” 

In his post, he wrote, “Dahil bumibigat na raw ang tiyan ni Boneztis, todo support ako agad, literally 😝 We just had the baby shower for our little one and I can proudly say that Boneezy did a beautiful job planning and executing. From painting the backdrop herself to choosing her favorite food. “

In the same post, Mikael shared that they enjoyed hosting the event so much that there might be plans to throw another baby shower before Megan gives birth. 

“It was such a great day with fam and friends. Of course, kami na rin ang naghost ng games and short program (which we both really enjoy doing anyway). I think this means we should have another baby shower soon. Saya eh! 🎉”❤️,” he added. 

Megan shared how happy she was after hosting her own baby shower. The soon-to-be mom also celebrated her 35th birthday just last month. 

She wrote in her account, “See you soon Baby Daez 😍 palapit na ng palapit ang due date pero dapat may celebration muna bago mag nesting 😁 hindi lang pala gala ang cravings ko.. kundi pati na rin ang pag host ng party hahahahah 😆🩵 so happy we got our family and friends together to welcome our little one!! Thanks Fofo for supporting me with my baby shower vision 🫶🏻 ang saya mag DIY hehehe and thank you to our family and friends that showered us and Baby Daez with so much love and gifts.”

During an episode on their podcast last February, the couple shared some realizations with the upcoming arrival of their first child. 

“An advice that somebody gave me when it came to parenting is you will never be ready because there's always the unknown of who your child is going to be, the kind of child you're going to have. Of course you shape them with discipline, etc. but their personality is something that’s just there. Alam kong hindi tayo magiging perfect, but the important thing is I just want to be a good person, a good mom, or try to be. And just make sure that I can guide our baby to have a good future and a good outlook in life,” Megan said.

Mikael echoed his wife’s views on the unpredictability of life, but also highlighted making the most of each moment, “We're in the middle of our lives, and the whole time that I have been alive, everything has always been an unknown. Nothing is certain and that doesn't really change when you have a child. It's still all unknown, you don't know how your child is going to grow up. You can hope to influence it, hope to do the right thing but ultimately, the answer is, I don't know what is going to happen. We try our best, but we do not know and I'm okay with that. Parang I've come to accept na parang that's what life is, and we make the most out of the moments na you have presently, and for everything else moving forward, you do your best and try to be flexible."
