Gracie Abrams has nothing but admiration for Taylor Swift, whom she considers a key influence and mentor in her artistic journey.

In a recent interview with Billboard, Gracie shared how Taylor has helped her grow as a songwriter.

"Taylor is a great example of someone I’ve been lucky enough to spend a lot of time around and every single time I’m like, 'Tell me everything you know, please. Teach me how to be,'" she shared in an interview with Billboard. "I want to live fully and do my best to capture what that feels like."

The "That’s So True" singer emphasized that she still has much to learn when it comes to songwriting and expressed her eagerness to grow further in her craft.

"I want to broaden my vocabulary times a thousand. I want to spend the majority of my year reading so that I can do that. I feel nowhere near that level. I have a million people I want to continue to learn from," she stated.

In 2024, Gracie and Taylor collaborated on the song “Us”, a track from her sophomore album The Secret of Us.

Their creative connection was strengthened even before the collaboration, as Gracie served as one of the opening acts for Taylor's blockbuster Eras Tour.

"It was a real masterclass to watch her do what she does. I felt like I was at college for this job. I watched every single one of her shows that I was luck enough to open, I think [I did] 31. I watched from every place possible in each stadium," she recalled about the experience in a past interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

She shared that she gained invaluable lessons throughout the tour. "[I was] just trying to pick up on how she's able to do what she does and she's such a one-of-a-kind person, friend, artist, all the things," she said.

The singer went on: "But what she does so unbelievably well and these kinds of rooms is like sometimes you feel like you're on Mars and sometimes you feel like the only two people in the stadium are you and her because she's just so connected to her audience and the relationship that they have with each other is really magical and to have been in their orbit for a summer was a crazy dream."
