Nadine Lustre shared her personal journey toward embracing a plant-based lifestyle, clarifying that it wasn't an overnight switch but a gradual process that took time and patience.

In an interview with MJ Marfori and other members of the media, Nadine recounted how she transitioned into a vegan.

"It's really not overnight just because every time people ask parang they think I [did] it overnight eh. It's really a process, parang mine I think I went pescatarian first and then eventually a vegetarian and then went full vegan na," she relayed.

Nadine emphasized the importance of allowing oneself time to adjust when shifting to a plant-based diet. "You really have to give yourself the time and patience to adjust," she highlighted.

The actress also shared how going vegan has changed not only her health but her overall outlook on life.

"It's just the most amazing thing. Your connection with animals is different. Parang the way you see the world is very different as well," she stated.

Nadine also spoke about the physical benefits she experienced after adopting a plant-based diet, saying she feels significantly stronger than before.

"With my health din I notice that I am stronger now than I was before especially when I work out. Parang I could last longer with sets, I don't get tired when I do cardio," she relayed.

She said her experience has helped debunk the stereotypes often attached to vegans.

"A lot of people would, and this is something that us vegans would always get, na parang people would say na we are weak, we don't get all the nutrients... all of that stuff. That's really not true and I could 100 percent say na ever since I went vegan, I am just much healthier and much stronger," she said.

Last year, Nadine launched a plant-based milk product called Dehusk with her boyfriend, Christophe Bariou.

"I think what's amazing about Dehusk is that it's locally sourced, so we help out the coconut farmers and it's locally produced as well. Meaning it cuts off a lot of the carbon emission or the carbon footprint. Kasi we're one of the top exporters of coconuts in the world, and the thing is, our coconuts are sent out tapos sent back to us as products and we're taxed," she said about the brand.

She went on: "That's what our partners are really trying to solve na parang how do we make a product or make a [coconut-based] milk or coconut product that's by the Filipinos, for the Filipinos and addresses a lot of concerns like calcium deficiency, lactose intolerance, and the carbon emissions."
