Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo took to social media to pen a heartwarming birthday message for girlfriend, Chloe San Jose.

"Happiest Birthday para sa napaka-espesyal na tao sa buhay ko @chloeanjeleigh ❤️ 🎉🎂," he posted.

The athlete expressed his gratitude to Chloe for supporting him in his endeavors. "Maraming salamat palagi sa walang sawang suporta, tiwala, kaligayahan at pagmamahal na binibigay mo sa buhay ko," she stated.

Carlos also shared his wishes for Chloe, saying: "Ang hiling ko sa Panginoon ay magkaroon ka ng maayos at malusog na pangangatawan. Masaya at maaliwalas na buhay kasama ako hehe ❤️. Nawa’y matupad lahat ang mga hiling at pangarap mo."

The athlete ended his message with a reassuring promise to stand by her side. 

"Asahan mong nasa tabi mo lang ako palagi, papahalagahan at mamahalin ka ng sobra," he stated. "Muli, mula sa puso ko mahal na mahal kita MAHAL KO ❤️😘."

Chloe commented on Carlos' post, saying: "Thank you always mahal ko 🥺🩷🥺🩷."

Carlos and Chloe first met online. In a TikTok video that Chloe posted in 2023 documenting her first conversation with Carlos, she disclosed that she was the one who first sent a message to the Filipino gymnast on social media platform X.

"Hi, I’m a fan po. Just came across your account and hindi na po kayo as active as before. I hope you’re doing well po. Stay safe. God bless," Chlose said in a private message he sent to Carlos in April 2020.

Carlos then replied: "Hello, hehe. Anyway, I’m doing great here. Thank you. Ikaw din diyan ingat and God bless."

Chloe admitted that she was surprised when she received a reply from Carlos.

"Awwe I didn’t expect you’d reply and even follow me back. Thank you so much. Have a great week ahead," she stated.

Their interaction on social media then grew into a romance. They eventually became a couple.

They were initially in a long-distance relationship initially as Chloe was based in Australia for her studies while Carlos was based in Japan that time to train.

They met in person two years later at the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Vietnam.
