After enrolling in flying school last September, it looks like Xian Lim has fully gone on to make his aviation dreams come true. After enrolling in the Top Flite Aviation Academy which has branches in Subic and Bicol, the 35-year-old actor officially became a private pilot last January and is now working towards getting a commercial pilot license. Last month, Xian also celebrated his 100th hour in the sky as a pilot.

In his Instagram post last March 18, Xian shared another proud moment in his aviation career as he shared recently purchasing a small plane during a trip in Australia. In his post, he wrote, “Prebuy inspection✅🧐. Test flight✅✈️. You're mine❤️”

In one of his posts last month, Xian shared that flying for him is “The best feeling ever ❤️” while on a flight to Vigan with his mom and grandmother for his grandmother Leonida’s 89th birthday. Xian’s grandmother has been battling breast cancer for almost five years now and continues to be an inspiration to her grandson.

Xian wrote about the gratitude he feels for his loved ones in a previous post. “At the end of the day, love everyone around you. Be a blessing. Be an inspiration. Radiate positivity. That's what mama Leoni does every single day. She wakes up with a big smile on her face. Kudos to Mom for dedicating her life to lola, lolo, and I,” he shared.

Having grown up in the US, Xian first moved back to the Philippines initially with the goal of pursuing a basketball career. But the tall Fil-Chinese ended up signing under Star Magic. He then moved to Viva Artists Agency before signing an exclusive contract with GMA. His first major acting role in television was in the 2012 series My Binondo Girl with Kim Chiu, whom he dated until 2023.

Xian was last seen onscreen in the  psycho-thriller movie Playtime with Sanya Lopez and Coleen Garcia. He also directed the horror film Kuman Thong starring Thai Star Max Nattapol and was Xian’s first full-length horror film project which he co-wrote with his writer-producer and current girlfriend Iris Lee.
