Kapuso actor Rainier Castillo made a surprise appearance at Revival King Jojo Mendrez’s media conference for his single, "Nandito Lang Ako," earlier today, March 21, at the ELJ Building in Quezon City. The singer became emotional after the surprise appearance of the former StarStruck contestant. 

Rainier and Jojo have been making rounds on social media as several photos of them were uploaded earlier this month.

After singing his latest single, the Kapuso actor made his way to the center stage to give his friend a hug. Jojo was seen getting emotional and wiping his eyes during the long embrace they had on stage.

Earlier during the media conference, the Revival King was asked about the real status of his relationship with Rainier. He admitted that he doesn’t know where to position himself as he knows any answer he’ll be giving could be taken against him.

“Wala hong ganun. Tignan niyo, ang nasa isip niyo na yung ganun kasi ayun yung nababasa natin sa social media, napapanood natin. Kaya andoon na yung judgement na talagang meron na nangyayari,” he said.

“Kumbaga, kahit iexplain ko wala ng maniniwala. Kung idedeny ko naman, sasabihin nagsisinungaling. Kaya hindi ko alam kung saan ako lalagay sa ganyan sitwasyon,” he admitted.

When asked about how he was able to meet the Kapuso actor, he shared that it was through Mark Herras. Previously, Mark was also seen a lot of times with Jojo which has been uploaded by various netizens on social media.

Jojo revealed that Mark has been busy so he isn’t able to spend more time with them and fortunately, Rainier is available most of the time.

“Bali initroduce siya sakin ni Mark… parang nagkayayaan tapos nung nakikilala ko na si Rainier, si Mark naman naging busy. Halimbawa, dapat lalabas kami o may gagawin sa labas na ano, or mag collab kami whatever, lagi siyang hindi available,” Jojo added. 

“At that time, ang available lagi is si Rain–– si Buboy–– siya lagi available… Kaya laging madalas yung pagkikita namin nung tao,” he maintained. 

Meanwhile, his first original song, "Nandito Lang Ako," is composed by Jonathan Manalo, under the label of Star Music PH. The song is all about a person who is secretly in love with a friend and will patiently wait for the right time.
