As one of the many talented judges on Tawag ng Tanghalan this year, Karylle said she will never stop cheering on the contestants especially the 48 returning singers in the latest season of the competition on It’s Showtime. Karylle said she just wants to be known as a fair judge, especially when the competition gets hard.

“Hindi ko alam kung strict yung tamang word pero before they perform, we always try to cheer them on and let them know we are on their side and we want them to do their best as a performer. Sa banda ng pagiging striktong judge, siguro ire-review ko kung ano ba talaga yung gusto ko mapanuod sa isang outstanding performance. Kailangan isipin ko once again, what do I really want to see and what made them shine at that moment sa performance?  Yung performance at that very moment, ano ba yung naramdaman ko?  Ano yung na-experience ko right there?” she shared during the Tawagng Tanghalan media conference.

When not busy with her hosting duties on It’s Showtime, Karylle said that she wants to also focus on her theater career. The 43-year-old singer and actress first made her stage debut in the 2000 Trumpets production of Little Mermaid and was last seen on stage in the 9 Works Theatrical staging of the Broadway musical Little Shop of Horrors which won her a Best Lead Actress in a Musical award at the 37th Aliw Awards for her lead role as Audrey.

This year, Karylle said she wants to pick up her love for theater again and explains why it's important to her to help support her fellow stage artists and the rest in the theater community.

“I did the musical Carousel in 2022 and then sunod sunod na plays. I think staying true to what I love so, so much, it helped me find my space in the world and to just really grow. I’m surrounded by such giving actors, everyone in the community was just oozing with artistry. I’m being surrounded by national artists also helped a lot and just knowing that even abroad people were contributing to the show buy that I did, Artists for artists. They wanted to fund the tickets of the young artists. Yung artist community pala is more than just a performance, a hit song, or a successful soldout play. It is who we are as people.

"The Filipinos are artists and there will always be support from every single space I the world because it’s bigger than just our own small, little dreams. So if we work on it together, wow, yun ang resbak. Ang laki pala nito. Hindi lang siya about my own dreams,” she explained.
