Kapamilya actress Janella Salvador shared an update on her preparations for the highly anticipated Brighter Together: ABS-CBN Ball 2025 set for April 4.

In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, Janella admitted that she initially struggled to conceptualize her look for the event’s Spring Formal theme. However, with the help of Filipino fashion designer Ehrran Montoya, she finally found the perfect design.

“Today, we're actually at Ehrran Montoya (Atelier) and I'm really, really excited because first time ko siyang makatrabaho,” the actress expressed.

“Noong una nga, hindi ako ma-excite-excite kasi wala ako maisip na concept for what I'm gonna wear. And then, finally, when she sketched it for me, I was like, ‘oh, ito na ‘yun. Perfect,’” she added.

Ehrran Montoya, an esteemed artist, illustrator, and fashion designer from Morong, Rizal, is known for his intricate designs. He was behind Reina Hispanoamericana 2025 Dia Mate’s "Banaag" national costume and Miss Cosmo Philippines 2024 Ahtisa Manalo’s Dyesebel-inspired national costume.

For Janella’s gown, Ehrran revealed that they decided on a whimsical yet old Hollywood glam look, aligning with the ball’s theme.

“We decided for something that's, you know, not the usual. So the theme is very whimsical, but we're eyeing for something more of red carpet, old Hollywood glam,” the designer described.

He added, “You will see, like, it's very distinct like when she comes out of the red carpet. You'll know it's an Ehrran Montoya Montoya, of course.”

Janella and Ehrran collaborated closely on the gown’s color and style to ensure it reflects her personality.

“It's a collaboration between me and her. She wanted something that, you know, that exudes what she wants. She wants to flaunt her characters, at least, you know, since this is for the ball,” he expressed.

“It's not the usual silhouette that she usually, you know, appears in. So this is something very exciting,” Ehrran continued.

Excited to show a different but familiar look for Janella on the red carpet, Ehrran enticed fans and viewers to look forward to the actress.

“This is something very exciting and it's not the usual look that you'll see for the ball with Janella,” he said.

Aside from showcasing her stunning look, Janella is also looking forward to reuniting with her former castmates from The Killer Bride and Darna at the event.

“Pero I'm always excited to see my friends kasi yung mga naging friends ko sa industry, very few lang. And we've all been busy with our own lives,” Janella said. “Yung dalawang Jane, the cast of Darna, the cast of Killer Bride. Yung lahat ng mga nakasama ko, I'm always excited to see everyone.” 

Janella is one of the many Kapamilya stars preparing for this special night of fashion, celebration, and giving back. Other celebrities to watch for include Belle Mariano and Darren Espanto.

“I’m so excited kasi it’s been two years since we all had this, you know, gathering, this ball, and it’s really something we all look forward to. And I’m really excited,” Belle shared in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

Beyond the glamor, the ABS-CBN Ball serves a greater purpose, as it supports various charitable causes which Belle and Darren are happy to be a part of.

“In the simplest way we can, this is a way for us to show love and support and care to our beneficiaries, of course. And it’s really a night that we all look forward to,” Belle said.

Darren echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the event’s importance.

“Lahat naman po ng artists, we try to make a pledge para sa ball and para po sa mga beneficiary ng ABS-CBN. And also, it’s very important na may mga ganito tayong events,” Darren stated. “It’s also a reminder for all of us that this is also for a cause.”
