Netizens who are regularly on TikTok have likely come across the 'A Day in the Life of a DLSU Student' videos from 22-year-old content creator Russ Jarviña.

PUSH ABS-CBN had the opportunity to speak with Russco, during Shakey's 50th anniversary celebration in Quezon City.

The graduating BS Entrepreneurship student from De La Salle University shared that his videos started back in 2020, when he began creating social media videos with voiceovers.

"Well, yung A Day in a Life kasi I always, ever since 2020, ginagawa ko vlogs lang talaga. So mga voice over na pinapatungan mo ng mga clips ng ginagawa mo sa day. So, a day in a life has already evolved. Nag-transition siya to voiceover to a day in a life,” he shared.

Russco went on sharing his idea of using a mini portable microphone on purpose "I figured I wanted to make it unique. Kinapitan ko ng mic yung day in a life ko. So, very personal, very candid. Kita mo yung nangyayari sa actual moment. So, yun lang naman. That's how it started. Very spontaneous. You just have to be your authentic self.”

Followers of his short vlogs are likely familiar with his family and friends, who often make random appearances in his videos.

"Well, yung mga friends ko kasi, mga helpers, mga family, they're well aware of what I'm doing. So it's kinda cool. They don't necessarily wanna be involved pero they try to help out one way or another kasi they care about what I'm doing. They want what's best for me also. So that's cool,” he expressed.

He also advised aspiring content creators to always stay authentic and true to themselves.

"Just be yourself, make sure to do your best, and make sure na wala kang tinatapakan na ibang tao. Well, what you see is what you get. I mean, ever since high school, I've been practically the same person, I grew up. Tumatanda ako. I learned stuff. Pero generally, I don't want to show anyone also someone who I'm not."
