Justin Bieber took to social media to reflect on dealing with hate. In an Instagram story, the pop star shared how he was taught as a child not to hate.

"I was always told when I was a kid not to hate, but it made me feel like I wasn’t allowed to have it and so I didn’t tell anyone I’ve had it,” he expressed.

The hitmaker continued noting how this ultimately made him feel overwhelmed and vulnerable: “Which made me feel like I have been drowning, feeling unsafe to acknowledge it."

Justin encouraged everyone that acknowledging the hatred we feel is the first step towards letting it go, and that it's okay to feel hate especially when we are hurting.

“I think we can only let hate go by first acknowledging it’s there. How couldn’t we feel hate from all of the hurt we have experienced?” he advised.

The singer, who recently faced public scrutiny for his alleged behavior, shared the social media story featuring SZA’s 2022 hit "I Hate U."

Just last week, Justin also posted a somber message on his stories, reflecting on how he feels unworthy and struggles with imposter syndrome.

“People told me my whole life 'wow Justin you deserve that.' And I personally have always felt unworthy, like I was a fraud,” he wrote.

The pop star went on to share that when he receives praises, he feels like if people knew what he truly thinks and how he really is, they wouldn’t be giving him those compliments.

“When people told me I deserve something, It made me feel sneaky like, damn if they only knew my thoughts. How judgmental I am, how selfish I really am... They wouldn't be saying this,” he admitted.

Justin added that if anyone feels the same way, doubting their qualifications on most days, they are not alone and are heard.

“I say all this to say, if you feel sneaky, welcome to the club. I definitely feel unequipped and unqualified most days,” he said.

The pop star's representative recently clarified in a statement that Justin has experienced a transformative year, during which he ended several close friendships and business relationships that no longer served him. They also asked the public to refrain from spreading harmful narratives.
