In a behind-the-scenes video, Atasha revealed she got emotional upon learning about her first solo project.

She will be portraying the role of Lin, describing her character as a genius but also mysterious, with many layers to her personality.

“Si Lin is of course genius siya pero she’s also very mysterious, marami siyang personalities… This role replicates the message of what it would be like for an average student taking their exams, yung kaba, yung excitement, yung pinagdadaanan ng student kapag exam, yung stress, lahat,” she said.

Originally released in 2017, Bad Genius is a Thai heist thriller about a brilliant high school student who uses her intelligence to develop elaborate methods to help her peers cheat on exams in exchange for a hefty price.

Meanwhile, Atasha just recently released her new single “Handa Na Ako.” She also dropped the music video of her song last February 28.
