MANILA -- Singer Ronnie Liang turned to social media to share his life's newest milestone as he finally received his PhD in Development Administration from Philippine Christian University.

On Instagram, Liang uploaded a snap of his graduation photo and a reel taken from his graduation.

"Another dream achieved: doctorate degree. My heart is full of gratitude and happiness today. I have achieved my PhD in Development Administration, major in Security Development Administration, at PCU," he said. 

"For me, this is not just about earning another title or degree, but it's about my strong belief in the value and power of higher education," he continued. "There were moments I wanted to give up, but knowing how this journey could inspire others, especially the young generation, kept me going." 

"I have often been asked if my motivation is political and if I would run and enter politics, and I would jokingly say, 'Yes, for President.' However, kidding aside, my drive extends beyond politics and personal ambition," he stressed. 

Liang shared his hope "to inspire others to become more responsible and accountable citizens, more patriotic, more passionate in whatever they do."

He also extended his appreciation to his family, friends, mentors and to all those who have been part of his journey. 

It was in 2023 when Liang shared that he started taking his PhD in PCU, where he also finished his master's degree in management in 2022.

The former "Pinoy Dream Academy" contestant considers the move as an investment in his personal and professional growth.

Aside from being a singer-actor, Liang is also an army reservist and a pilot.
